Is Hazel Right for You?

Hazel is a young, playful and affectionate tabby who has come a long way since arriving at the shelter in January 2026. When she first arrived, she was very shy and nervous, but she has steadily grown in confidence and is now showing us more of her lovely personality.

Hazel has plenty of energy and enjoys playing, but she is still a little nervous and needs time to feel comfortable with people. Once she trusts you, she is a sweet and affectionate girl who is ready to form a special bond with her humans.

Hazel is looking for a home where she can continue building her confidence at her own pace. She would particularly benefit from people who have the time, patience and understanding to help her settle in and develop her socialisation skills.

We think Hazel would ideally be adopted with Enzo, who arrived at the shelter with her and is believed to be her brother. They get along very well. If they cannot be adopted together, Hazel would need a home with other friendly cats.

Are You Right for Hazel?

Hazel needs a calm, stable and patient home where she will have time to settle and get to know her new family without being rushed. Her new humans should be prepared to give her the time and encouragement she needs to continue gaining confidence.

Because Hazel is still nervous, she would NOT be suited to a home with young children. She may be able to live with mature children who understand that she needs space and time to build trust.

Hazel would ideally be adopted with Enzo. If this is not possible, she needs to live with other cats, as feline companionship is important for her. She has not been tested with dogs, so living with a dog may be possible depending on the individual dog and a careful introduction.

We would initially offer Hazel on a foster-to-adopt basis, ideally together with Enzo, so that she can continue her socialisation in a home environment and have the best possible chance to thrive.

Hazel is healthy, neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. She is ready to meet the special humans who will give her the patience, stability and love she deserves.
