As volunteers and friends we are passionate about providing the best care possible for the animals we look after. Focusing upon this can sometimes make us overlook just how important the well being of each and every one of us is in achieving that goal. Health and safety is the responsibility of us all: we have to look after each other and we have to look after ourselves. Risk is part of everyday life and impossible to eliminate; our collective task is to identify potential risk where it exists and try to reduce that risk. As risk is lowered, the incidence of injuries should also be reduced. We all work together, keeping our eyes and ears open, and when we see a potential problem we report it to the premises / health and safety committee. Below you will find documents with advice and explanations of the health and safety policy at APROP.
Thank you, The Premises / Health and Safety Team
