Is Raul Right for You?

Raul is a gentle, incredibly sweet boy who has spent far too long waiting for his chance of a home. He came to us from a shelter affected by the devastating floods in Valencia in 2024, alongside his fellow resident Ferran. Having now spent over four years in shelters, the world can still feel like a very worrying place for Raul, and he is understandably nervous in new or unfamiliar situations.

Raul does walk well on the lead, but he can be easily spooked and will need time to build his confidence. Despite everything he has been through, he remains a lovely, gentle boy who deserves the opportunity to finally experience life in a loving home.

Are You Right for Raul?

Raul needs a calm, patient home where he can settle in at his own pace. He will need someone who understands that confidence will take time and who is prepared to help him gently discover that the world isn’t such a scary place.

A quiet environment with a patient owner will be important so that Raul doesn’t become overwhelmed. Like Ferran, he feels more secure with another dog around, and we believe a confident, friendly female dog could be a wonderful influence for him and help him learn to feel safer and more confident.

After more than four years of shelter life, Raul really deserves his chance. He may need a little extra understanding at first, but underneath his worries is a very sweet boy who is simply waiting for someone to give him the time, love and security he has been missing.
