Is Timple Right for You?
Timple is a lovely dog, but he isn’t the right fit for every home.
He can take time to get to know and may initially be wary or challenging in certain situations. He also has difficulties around other dogs, so he must be the only dog in the home.
However, once Timple gets to know you and learns to trust you, he can be a completely different dog. With people he feels comfortable with, he can be affectionate, loving and a real sweetheart. He enjoys attention from his trusted people, loves his walks, and is very happy settling down somewhere warm and comfortable.
Timple also has some ongoing health conditions that his adopter will need to understand and manage. We will provide full information about his health during the adoption process, so that anyone considering him can make an informed decision about whether they can meet his needs.
Timple isn’t an instantly easy dog, and building a relationship with him will take patience. But for the right person, getting to know him and earning his trust can be incredibly rewarding.
Timple could be right for you if you are looking for a dog with plenty of personality and are prepared to give him the time, patience and understanding he needs.
Are You Right for Timple?
Timple needs an adopter who understands that trust isn’t always immediate and is willing to let their relationship develop at his pace.
His ideal home will:
- Have no other dogs
- Have the time and patience to build trust and confidence with Timple
- Be prepared to meet his ongoing health needs
- Be willing to listen to advice from APROP and continue any recommended management or support
- Appreciate that Timple may need a little more understanding than the average dog
- Have a sunny spot in the garden with a big comfy bed for this little sun worshiper!
Timple is a favourite of our volunteers; he is a wonderful dog when you get to know him. He just needs someone patient enough to get to know him and give him the chance to show it.
